The composition of the Customs Union consists of three countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, which signed an agreement on common principles and rules of technical regulation.
Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan began its work July 1, 2010. The main purpose of creating a customs union was the removal of technical barriers, such as the mandatory certification, in trade between the three countries and reducing the number of required technical procedures for the importation of goods into the territory and the export of goods from the Customs Union.
National certificate of conformity GOST R can be used to import goods and equipment only to Russia and product placement only in the Russian market. Certificate of compliance of the customs union can be used to import goods into the territory of any state - Russia, Belarus or Kazakhstan, and the certificate is valid in any of these countries. Thus, the company may import the goods into the territory of any of the three states under a single certificate of compliance. Certificate of the Customs Union replaces national certificates of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The certificate of conformity of the Customs Union only confirms safety and electromagnetic compatibility and allows importers and producers to place their goods on the territory of the customs union. However, the certificate can not be used in place of certificates, communication, fire safety certificates, registration certificates and other types of compulsory and voluntary conformity certificates or licenses.
